Spring Break:
Bo took the boys and Faith on a glorious four day camping trip to some land that Uncle Jameo owns in Crandall Texas. They took the RV, slept in the cabin and the tent....they had , pocket knives, fishing, bb guns....worms, dirt, grilled steaks, slim jim's and let's see...what else could you wish for??? Oh..yes...how could I foget...4 days of no shower and no hair gel...!!!Faith stayed one night and two days... I would like to say that our sweet Faith had no interest in this boy haven but, truth is...she was right there in her princess rainboots knee deep in the mud and the muck. She discovered worms are one of her favorite things but, pretty much tromping around with her Daddy was heaven to her. There was not a thing her brothers could do that she couldn't...shocker, right!!!
BOO-BOO'S
We have had some injuries around here........Weston split his head open and had to get stitches running around at Sonic. He had to get three stitches and bummer...we didn't get any free drinks or ice..... No sooner did the stitches get removed...Faith broke her hand running circles in the trampoline and whacked it on the metal post. She was in a cast for a couple weeks...didn't bother her a bit or slow her down.
We have recovered from all of that and life is streaming right along as usual.
EASTER:
We had a wonderful Easter with our families. The usual egg dying at Aunt Sarah's on Good Friday...always a good time. The kids were thrilled with their vibrant colored eggs and Faith with her sparkly ones. Then of course the egg hunt at Grandma's on Saturday and the bible verse recitement and all the prizes that come with being able to say your verse without assistance. It was a beautiful day and the kids had a great time hunting and playing...and finished with an afternoon of swimming.
Easter Sunday the kids woke up at the crack of dawn, hunted for their baskets, jelly beans, candy eggs and marshmellow chicks for breakfast and off to church we went. HE IS RISEN....and how thankful are we!!!!
After church we went to Padna's for our usual delicious chicken fried and mashed potatoes. It was a rainy Easter so, we did our egg hunt inside which proved to be more fun than ever.....thanks to Aunt Sarah hiding and re-hiding the eggs ummm...for about three hours! We are so blessed with an amazing family. I am so thankful that our children have such a strong family bond with our family and I love how they cherish every moment with their cousins. It was a perfect Easter....in so many ways.
God is good!
